Information for Professionals

Skilled Reactive Attachment Disorder professionals need to have a minimum of 150 hours of training to be qualified as an Attachment Clinician (ATTACh criteria). There is a tremendous difference between understanding RAD and knowing how to treat it effectively.

The availability for training in the treatment of RAD is very limited. Denise traveled to 3 of the top clinics in the country to receive one-on-one training, did follow-up consultation for a year, and developed her own Treatment Protocol for healing Reactive Attachment Disorder. The other Clinicians have also trained at other clinics and have extensive training in our Protocol. All staff, including our Administrative Assistant attend the National ATTACh Conference each year to stay up-to-date on treatment and research.

TRAINING

Denise is available for training Parents, Foster Parents, Caregivers, and Professionals treating Reactive Attachment Disorder. A one-day presentation will provide an understanding of the etiology of RAD, symptoms, behavioral purposes, and some interventions.

For Clinicians inspired to commit to learn how to effectively treat RAD, it takes a great deal more training. On-site one-on-one training is available at AATC of Iowa. ATTACh is also a good resource for finding other training opportunities, in addition to their yearly conference.
